UGA championship or bust mentality is great for gators and other opposing fan bases. Odds are stacked in their favor that they can sneer at us even when we give them a whooping. There is more than one great team vying for the top.

As for Fromm he has done a great job as a game manager and doing whats been asked of him . Not much more can or should be said of him good or bad.

It's hard to win it all. Saying it's a national championship or bust for any team is an unrealistic view. Especially for any team in today's SEC. Saban enjoyed a vast talent advantage over the entire SEC during his 7 in a row No.1 recruiting classes. Those days are fading fast.

No team has that kind of talent and depth advantage over every other team in the league now. The SEC is getting better over all. Georgia has virtually matched Alabama for talent and depth. LSU looks like they are rediscovering the art of the forward pass and also looks to be closing the gap.

With Georgia, I think many forget that Smart has only been there for 3 seasons. It's hard to win it all. It's even harder to win it all when many of your best players are in their 1st and 2nd seasons and they're playing against the most stacked roster in CFB that's built it's depth with 3rd-4th year players.

Georgia's just now becoming a team of Smart's own building. Kirby has had Georgia ahead of schedule over the last two years.

National Championships are coming to UGA. Just don't prejudge Smart on his rookie seasons with an he couldn't get it done with Richt's players, therefore he never will attitude. That is an unrealistic and unfair judgement.

The future is bright for UGA football. Dawg fans should enjoy the ride and realize that it is only going to get even better...

Many of the same fans that have a NC now or bust attitude, are the same fans that had a 10 wins are enough attitude about Richt because he was a "good man" even though we all knew by the end of October, rather than owning the east as we do with Kirby, we would be watching the games of our east opponents hoping they would lose so we could back into the SECCG. Kirby is going to get us a Natty! His and the players' hard work and dedication to being the best is going to get us there! To me, a season with the realistic chance of a championship is much more fun than the knowing that our bowl game will be completed before New Year's.

Good posts SmartsThe Man and ShoottheHooch. Yep, I come across “so called” fans all the time with the “yeah but” mentality. “Yeah but” Fromm this or “yeah but” Smart that. But you turn around and ask them “Are you going to be watching the game this weekend “ and they come back with who are they playing, where is it or what time do the they come on? I have even heard I didn’t know they were playing this weekend. To those “fans” I say you probably don’t have much of a clue about all the hard work, dedication and everyday grinding that goes into building a championship football team. Go Dawgs!

I think finding the right ingredient will be key for Kirby. For an example, by adding a elite rb (HW) to his program, coach Dooley finally got over the hump. When Nick Saban left MSU his entire coaching staff remained behind and he was compelled to start over with a new coaching staff in tiger land. Through the process he assembled a very solid staff and finally won his 1st NC in 4 seasons. Dabo Swinney needed a elite QB and a very intelligent DC Brent Venables to finally get over the hump. I can go on and on about this but at the end of the day Kirby has to put it all together himself.

NC or Bust mentality??? I honestly do not think this is a real mentaliy of most UGA fan. Does every Dawg fan ( and every fan of any D1 team for that matter) aspire to have their team win a NC? Yes! Do they consider not reaching this NC a BUST? NO.

Rather, it is a perception that the media creates. (Just like anything politial/T related in the media. ) I hate when the **** question is asked and written about.

Compete and be in the mix. Control your own destiny. Continuous improvement. UGA is over the hump. Keep chopping wood and do more. Ready to get started.

That is unarguable. The same thing is true for every team in D1 college football.

When the team plays near their potential in each game, I do not see another college football team that we should not beat, even if that other team plays near their potential. For every minor weakness we have, there is an offsetting strength. Potentially off on the DL, fantastic defensive backfield, potential problem at received, none better on the rest of the offense. I like our team, hands down, over every other team, including Alabama and Clemson. Just my opinion.
