Georgia fans have developed a strong reputation in recent seasons. Starting with the first DawgNation Invasion in South Bend, Ind. in 2017, UGA fans have shown up in huge numbers for away games. On Saturday, Vanderbilt Stadium became the latest venue taken over.

UGA travels better than any other school in the country

Yep, thank you fans for attending in such amazing numbers! You can't underestimate the impact it can have especially in a tight game.
I went to Vanderbilt undergrad and then to Georgia for law school. Vanderbilt's stadium has been getting taken over by opposing team's fans since at least 1990 (my freshman year at Vandy). This is nothing new for them.
I was in the marching band at Vandy, and I will tell you that this losing the home stadium's fans is one of the reasons I defected from being a Vandy fan immediately upon starting law school in 1995.
This problem was so bad that, in 1991 or 1992, the Athletic Department instructed us in the marching band to play the *other team's* fight song during pregame. It was quite often the loudest cheer we got for the entire game.
