Homegrown: Impressive sophomore Eric Stokes is more like "UGA grown"
Eric Stokes didn't get an offer from Georgia until three months prior to National Signing Day. He was the lowest-rated of the eight defensive backs UGA signed but look where he is now. The Covington native is one of the top defensive backs on the team.

That is an amazing story. Way to go Eric!
So many good stories on this team! I'm pulling for all of them to have a BIG year!
For my money, Stokes is a better player, at the moment, than LeCount. I'm not sure how the rest of the season will go but if things stay the way they are, I'm feeling like Stokes would be a higher NFL draft pick than LeCount, that is if they both decide to go pro.
DGD!!
That old success formula; Preparation + Opportunity = Success. Proven again.
Very impressive young man. I hope everyone on the team is paying attention to his story.
I am thrilled for Eric, it would be awesome if he had a D Baker season and contended for the Thorpe this season.
The way Stokes blew up that punt at Missouri last year sent a statement about the type of player he is. He couldn't be kept off the field after that performance. Excited to see what he can do this season!
