It's Great to be a Georgia Bulldog!!!!! I fully believe Kirby & Co. will bring their A Game!

And now the season begins! GO Dawgs!

  • The GAME OF THE YEAR is here. Fans better pack Sanford Stadium early and be loud and proud. If our pass defense is good, and our play calling is good, then I expect a dominating performance. Georgia Tech folds and Florida loses its starting quarterback yesterday. It's like the football world is unfolding for us to take it all, but beating Notre Dame is critical.

The keys to a Win against ND:

    - Protect Fromm

    - Effective pass rush

    - Enough of an effective run game to balance the attack.

QB Book is a capable scrambler, and if he gets loose and downfield often it could be a long night. Expect ND defense to load the box, try and stuff the run, and force Fromm to throw. They will also blitz often. We'll find out how good our OL and defense REALLY is on Saturday.

Florida, South Carolina, and Kentucky all looked better than advertised yesterday. They all proved to be competitive. We'll have our hands pretty full in the SEC East after this game (more than I thought we would at the beginning of the season).

    GO DAWGS!!!

I'm not sure that florida losing their starting QB was good for us. The replacement looked much better than Franks.

"Expect ND defense to load the box, try and stuff the run, and force Fromm to throw."

I've been saying the same thing in the ND world. Can't say that it will work, though. Fromm is a great passer, and there's a whole lot of up-and-coming talent in your WR corps. Besides which, there's no guarantee we'll stuff the run even if we have the backfield constantly in man coverage. Georgia has one hell of an OL and some great RBs.

Meanwhile, after watching our last two games, I get the feeling that Georgia will try to do the opposite: try and stuff the pass, and force ND to run.

Should be an interesting game, unless you blow us out early. The game is losable as you say, but I like your chances better than ours.
