Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Watching family members lose loved ones.
And then complaining you get paid too much for being a glorified baby sitter
Hopefully the glorified babysitter comment isn't a shot across the bow to educators...
Easily, the #1 answer is referees/officials...
...let me edit...
40% of the referees/officials...
...and if that's as bad as it gets, then it ain't that bad...
That's a pretty common insult to educators
...and it's one that is ripe with ignorance...
The lengthy process of underwriting a large commercial loan request, our m flood insurance process if a property I’m financing is in a flood zone, and my “senior” lending assistant that makes entry level mistakes.
That part between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM!
There's not enough white space on this web page to cover all the things that are miserable about the company I work for and the mental midgets in senior management.
@YaleDawg I’m actually an etiquette consultant. I love what I do because it lets me dictate my own schedule so I stay at home with my son, but I cannot fix the results of bad parenting. A lot of parents treat me as a behavior modification system.
I'm sorry @allyw for being ignorant in todays' job descriptions, but what is a "etiquette consultant?"
@ghostofuga1 an etiquette consultant teaches manners and leadership. Everything is very business-oriented, including my children’s programs. But I also teach for and advise businesses. My degree from UGA is in broadcast news and I worked in television for several years and got burned out pretty quickly. But I enjoy teaching etiquette and being a mom, wife and obsessing over football.
Awesome! Never knew of it but could see the need for it. Kudos all around for you!!
What an interesting business. I would imagine the parents are trying to substitute for their own shortcomings, but they wouldn’t be using you if they weren’t self aware. You are making a longterm impact on these kid’s lives. Very cool.
@Bankwalker I’m trying my best! On another note, my Techie husband works in banking too. He gets very frustrated with some of the regulations as well.
So, @Kasey, you work at a hotel? Not sure if you do or not, but here’s a question:
3 guys come into a hotel and are charged $30 for a room. A few minutes afterwards, the hotel attendant realizes he overcharged them by $5 and gives the bellboy $5 to return to the 3 men. Well, the bellboy realizes he can’t distribute $5 evenly between 3 men, so he gives them $3 and keeps $2 for himself.
So, here’s the deal. Each guy pays $9 each ($27 total) for the room and the bellboy keeps $2. 3x9+2=$29. Where’s the extra dollar?
