It would be nice for the Heisman to be more than just numbers, but it isn’t. For that reason, Fromm nor Swift will sniff New York.

No one from UGA is going to be winning the Heisman anytime soon. Not saying we don't have players that can perform on the level of Heisman winners, but this program simply isn't built for the kind of individual flash that the award is all about.

Fromm is functioning at a high level. It's really a shame that he is not considered a contender for the Heisman. Part of the reason may lie in the fact that a huge part of Fromm's effectiveness is that he has a great deal of cerebral tenacity. I think it comes in part from his exhaustive preparation, no doubt. However, it is ironic that in sports, one's effectiveness is often generally not measured very effectively. Many times in the realm of sports news, people (the writers and the readers) are much more enamored with the physical attributes rather than cognitive prowess.

I'm beginning to hope the NFL comes calling on Day and makes an offer he can't refuse. He's got OSU playing with SEC speed on defense and what he has done for Fields is nothing short of amazing. Still, my two favorite teams on any given Saturday are the Dawgs and whatever team is playing the Bucknuts !

Georgia does not run the type of offense that would allow the QB to win a Heisman. That's not necessarily a bad thing.
