Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

LOOK: UGA fans will get a laugh out of Notre Dame band's new 'initiative'
The last two times Georgia has played Notre Dame, Bulldog fans have used their cell phone lights to light up the stadium, whether it be in Athens or South Bend, Ind. It's made for quite an atmosphere and environment. This has now become a tradition at Georgia, as fans have done this every time Georgia plays a home —

Isn’t that cute?
Maybe green leds would suit them best.
Some bama fans are incapable of rational thought. Sad!
Except they are talking about Notre Dame, not Bama......
Perhaps if you had read the story...
I'm surprised this hasn't already been adopted at Universities across the nation. Not original and not surprising. Go Dawgs!
You would think it was the off season??? Or has everyone been sleeping the past 6 weeks?
I think we should be proud of the fact a tradition rich program like Notre Dame is trying to emulate what has become a very impressive Georgia tradition. We obviously have impacted their fan base. More power to them. I hope they are successful. Go Dawgs.
I completely agree. As for the "Georgia tradition," we old rock concert fans were doing it with cigarette lighters long before there were cell phones and the anti-smoking campaign. But the cell phone flashlights are definitely an upgrade.
Don't know what happened to the good old blue and gold ... kids these days. :)
Yes, blue and gold leds with sprinkles of green leds, would look pretty cool. This allows the fans to get a little more involved, plus, the kids love it.
Speaking of night games. Kentucky looks like it might be a night game for Homecoming! We need a Blackout for Homecoming! Who’s with me?
Whether we like it or not, all major programs with do the cellphone flashlight thing, if they aren't doing it already.
Everybody holds up four fingers at the end of the third quarter, but it started at Miami.
The flashlight thing is very cool, but it was never going to stay at "Georgia thing" very long.
Rock on Bob Rodes. Go Dawgs!
Watching the fans light up their cell phones is fun but watching our Dawgs "light up" the opposition is much more satisfying!
