CBS sportscaster Gary Danielson had a lot of interesting things to say during Saturday’s Georgia-Auburn game, but there’s one hot topic that college football fans are still discussing today: Danielson said that Alabama, which lost star quarterback Tua Tagavailoa to a season-ending injury, still deserved to be in the

Non-sense, if UGA wins out and beats LSU that also wins out, Bama is out.

It may be hard to swallow but Bama Fans will have to be LSU fans come the SEC championship game.

UGA could not end it for Bama on the field the last two years but just maybe we can indirectly put it to them this year.

Of course our offense needs to improve for that to happen.

    RIDICULOUS!!!!!

If bama beats the barn then their biggest win would be against a 4 loss team.

    RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Danielson, meh!....When the reg season games are over....then we can talk about playoff spots....a lot can happen in two weeks...given that....Alabama QB is capable as any of sending the "burn" home with another loss to the "bammers"....As well as the "burn" taking one from the "bammers"....it's football and anything can happen.....prayers are for Tua to heal and take his next step....GO DAWGS!!! Keep Chopping!!!!!

This is typical Danielson - all his comments are all in bad need of a flush! I prefer to mute my sound when he is on the telecast.

My power 5 of things I couldn't care less about.

    1. Alabama football
    2. Nick Saban
    3. Anything Gary Danielson says
    4. Jordan Rodgers' hair styling gel
    5. Gus Malzahn's smarmy pressers

    Go Dawgs!

Not that I agree with Danielson, but UGA put itself in this position with a ridiculous loss to USC at home.

Has nothing to do with Tua.. Rather bama's soft schedule that compares to clemsons on a yearly basis. That is why.. NOT Tua

I’m going say there are some good teams out there. The playoff rankings decided by votes leaves a lot of bias on the table. To make the playoff you should have to win your conference division nothing less. Then the playoffs come down the wire. I also believe that all non conference games should be played first as a preseason then the home stretch in the conference games to division being the first playoff. But who am I.

This logic makes no sense, whatsoever. They are a weaker team without one if not the best player on their team and NOW they deserve to be number four, but they didn't when he was healthy and playing for them. Beating Auburn which will likely not be in the top 15 after Tuesday has nothing to do with the ranking narrative.

When it comes to the love affair powers to be have with Alabama it’s not a question of why let them in but why shouldn’t we

The only team that Bama played of consequence was LSU. Bama’s offense put up numbers—but their defense gave up more. People are discrediting the defenses in their evaluations. Bama and LSU do not have dominant Defenses this year. We do. Why is Bama more deserving of the playoff? Because they beat a top 15 team in Auburn (if they do)? We have beaten three so far.

Danielson: I said some pretty dumb things yesterday. How can I take things to the next level? Wait, I've got it! ****, I'm good.

The CFP storyline will change as the season goes on. However, IF the Dawgs finish the drill and win out - including LSU - then we are in hands down. We would have beaten (5) TOP 25 teams (Texas A&M is now #24). Case closed.

If Oregon wins out and beats Utah in the Pac-12 Championship then they have an argument to make also - IF we stumble. At that point you will have to decide between Bama and Oregon (assumes both teams win out).

I know one thing, if (2) SEC teams make the playoffs AGAIN this year - leaving out (2) other Power 5 conferences - there will be an uproar and an expanded playoff may be in the cards sooner rather than later. Works for me.

Truer words have never been spoken @GoodLife . With each passing week, I continue to be amazed at how we even came close to losing to South Carolina. Win that game, and the playoffs are all but set, assuming that both us and LSU reached the SECCG undefeated. Because of that loss, we now we have to sit and agonize through every game (including Tech) and then play a perfect SECCG just to be considered for the playoffs. How UGA managed to screw up a virtual done deal (which a victory over SC was) is beyond me but then again, that is sooooooo typical UGA. I love my Dawgs forever, but it just seems we'll go to any lengths (remember 2nd and 26) to avoid winning a championship.
