It took just a matter of minutes for the CBS broadcast of the Georgia-Texas A&M matchup to provide an update for injured UGA Sports Communications photography intern Chamberlain Smith. Late in the second half of Georgia's game against Auburn last Saturday, Bulldogs running back Brian Herrien collided with Smith

An apology wouldnt have been needed had he been paying attention to the game and saw the collision before opening his mouth.. About as good of an announcer as he was a QB.
Folks make mistakes. He took ownership of his error, apologized on air for it, Chamberlain is recovering -- let's all move on.
It's fine. I didn't love the apology itself but the tone was that he was yelled at pretty hard by CBS and is eating humble pie. She seems in good spirits so let's move on.
