A really athletic left tackle would be a great addition to the Dawg's blocking schemes. Sign with the Dawgs Mr. Jones!

Broderick Jones was THE talent at Under Armour...very aggressive and athletic as an OT. A real leader. He actually pushed Carter around and that is saying something. We need this guy at UGA! Go get him Luke!!!!

Matt Luke appears to a great OL coach, likely a good recruiter and we should be very grateful to have him representing the G. I do not question his loyalty to our program or his desire to win and succeed. I do however find his new role intriguing. He is a man that is an Ole Miss grad, player and ex-head coach that bled for his Alma Mater-now an assistant at UGA. It must be slightly awkward for him to say "Go Dawgs." I personally couldn't imagine having the same history with UGA, pursuing my coaching career whilst representing Florida and having to say "Go Gators." Gross! Life is never without intrigue. I am confident coach Luke's heart will always be for Miss and he is still quietly rooting for Miss to be successful too.

    Go Dawgs!

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be snide, but don't all of these kids' comments sound formulaic? "I need to get on campus and build a relationship with him," they say. "I just want to get to know him, see what he's about," they say.

Well now, the real nugget of the story is buried deep in the eighth (8th) paragraph of this post: Auburn's offensive line coach has left town, too. So now, it would seem, that UGA and Auburn are back on equal footing in that regard. So unless they go out and hire Sam Pittman away from Arkansas, I can't see any reason why Jones wouldn't come on to Athens, unless he just WANTS to play at Auburn.

As for the other kid, Mims, I figure he is just a matter of time. We've got a whole season for him to get out and look around and find out that UGA is really the best place for him. Geez, Feb. 5 can't get here soon enough.

Wow this process just seem back-A$$ed, shouldn't the prospective athlete be the one who has to do the impressing? I understand today's reality and that after the signature, the coach is the one who will have to be impressed with the athlete. Just sayin'.

OM and UGA have never been rivals. Coaches move around within the conference all the time. He's a professional. I suspect it's not all that weird for him.

It was certainly a surprise to see the OL coach at Auburn leave. I hope Broderick will commit to the “G” and realize he now (as before) has the best OL coach in the South at UGa.....not to mention there is no better school than the one in Athens. Go Dawgs!!!

Sam got big guys and they made him look like a great coach. Not saying he wasn't but at Georgia, I think his O-lines may not have met their expectations. However, I think Luke exceeded his in the Sugar Bowl. Luke knows how to develop lineman and with all the linemen we have checking out early, Coach Luke will show you how good he is at developing next year and he is certainly a better schemer. Our O-line will be just as good if not better next year than this year. We need someone to get in there and develop Mathis and Beck real quick. Heck, go see if you can get Aaron Murray to come work with them hard from now to spring. I'm just not sure Coley develops QB's that well.
