The old dawg said some pretty nice things about his former team and newest dawg Jamie Newman. The pressure is off. I was once a Richt fan. Still respect him as a coach and a person. Hope he does well as a ACC announcer.

Class guy who got us over the rough days of the late 90's and put the program back on solid ground. Lots of love for Coach Richt.

Richt is all class. His love and fear of the Lord shine through. He is still a champion of UGA after all these years. God bless the Richt family. Thank you for your example.

Richt is a class act and a big part of UGA football. I wish they'd bring him back in some capacity, but he seems to be content.

One of the "good guys." It's not all about him and his deal or ego.

“The facilities are beautiful now and they were good, maybe not THE best, but now they are some of the best in the country,” Richt said. “That’s hard to do with the arms race in that regard.”

Richt is being generous. UGA is still a long way from having one the more coveted facilities around the league. Just Youtube LSU & OU recent locker room upgrades - locker rooms that were already as good as UGA's recent 63mm spend. And we all know about Alabama's, OSU's & Clemson's. Now go back 5 years... If you were a 4&5 star athlete, where would you take your talents??? Winning championships are all about acquiring talent and lots of it. Thank goodness Kirby and staff are all elite recruiters because it's not like UGA leads the pack in the aforementioned - but at least we are respectable now.

Wow, Coach Richt show a much higher class than some of the posters on this venue. The man did a lot for UGA and Dawg football. UGA did a lot for him too and it is obvious he recognizes this and happily acknowledges it. I am happy that he is in a "good place".

I thought it was telling that when asked about Smart,he said they have good facilities now.. CMR brought UGA to back to National prominence. I just wish he and Kirby could coach as well as they recruit. 😁

I agree, but it would be really hard for him to come back to a position below head coach. I know I wouldn’t want to do something like that.
