Glad to see a shakeup in the O coaches. Attrition definitely took its toll, last season. But the offense underperformed when fully staffed, too. Receivers Gould never get separation. O line could not run block. Looking forward to seeing what happens, next year. How many days until Red and Black game?
How is Malchow collateral damage from Coley departure? Never heard the two linked.
Losing Malcow stinks. He is an excellent talent evaluator and has been instrumental in our scouting and recruiting efforts.
What does a director of player personnel do? Does the position have an on-field role during practices and games?
A&M is liking the UGA moves...Malchow and Coley. Let's see what the new UGA add- ons do for UGA this season? It will be interesting....hope it works out for UGA. Smart now has new coaches...new recruits....he's got now to fall to mesh it all. What a year!
You have to break and beat eggs before making an omelette. This is part of the process when you upgrade from egg in the shell to something really tasty. I like omelettes. We are all about to have a serving made to order, now that the worthless shells are gone. Kirby is one heck of a cook. Let him do his thing.
UGA recruiting will be fine with or without Malchow, CKS needed some Xs and Os type coaches on offense and that's what we now have.
Cooley seemed to be a great guy but he stinks as an OC. He has been bad every where he held the position.
CKS being willing to make changes and not being like CMR who would stick with people out of loyalty is a great thing,
Let Coley and Manchow have their time at A&M. We, now, know we, UGA, from the top down needs to stay smarter, stronger and better than we have ever been. Go Dawgs!
Coley leaving for A&M fits as he has a strong connection too an history with Fischer.
Where this obviously hurts is his ability too recruit. Combined with Coach Pittman leaving for the Hawgs HC position and CKS faces his first Real test as a HC. I say this as it compares too Coach Saban and the turnover he's had to deal with these past several years.
Now not all is to be viewed as being in a state of critical condition. Far from it. CKS learned some strong lessons from his time as Coach Saban's right hand man. This will be an interesting spring for sure! Go Dawgs!!
