Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

ABC news is now reporting there were 9 people on the helicopter.
The sheriff's department just had a press conference, but they didn't want to release any names yet. They did say there were 9 people that were on the helicopter and not 5.
D@mn that is terrible. RIP, definitely one of the GOATs.
Tragic.
Why does it always take something tragic to happen for us to understand how precious life is? We all have one life to live, we must enjoy it. Tomorrow should never be taken for granted.
RIP to one of the greatest
Bummer for sure
So so sad man. My heart dropped
That’s got to be a scary way to go. While I’ve never been much of a basketball fan, Kobe is a name I’ll always remember.
Unfortunately, both him and his daughter died. A great player that made history on the court, it's a shame he died so young and left behind a grieving family, even worse considering his eldest was by his side. Life is cruel.
Prayers for all the families hurting tonight.
Definitely one of the greatest. Prayers 🙏 for all the families.
One of my closest friends flies helicopters, has seen the crash report, and said this was 100% pilot error. Apparently the guy was requesting VFR, got impatient and flew through fog, right into a mountain. The fire that was reported was post-impact. The Sikorsky S-76B helicopter is top of the line in terms of safety and reliability.
This is incredibly sad. I was never a Lakers fan and therefore not exactly a Kobe fan, but he was apparently a really good guy by all accounts. My heart hurts for his family and his loved ones, along with his fans.
I'm not doing so great this morning
