I'm glad he is getting a ring but he has to feel pretty silly arriving in the flight suit after having one catch for 2 yards in the Super Bowl. It looks like he made the right decision to skip his Senior year. Wow. Congratulations.

Mecole Hardman's flight suit apparently had its origin in a celebration of his speed and the inclination of supporters and fans to refer to him as "Jet". I was also impressed with another association to loftier meaning: i.e., this display of patriotism celebrated by him and the Navy flyers who acknowledged him before the flyover and underscored the patriotic aspects of this analogy. Whether this was intentional or not, the depiction of his ties to our nation's defenders is a high class way of associating sports to a higher plane. What a way to present yourself, Mecole!
