2020 Softball Dawgs

They were supposed to start yesterday but they to busy helping us build an Ark, I live about 20 minutes from the field and we were looking for Noah all day, it poured down and we had tornado warnings so the game was canceled against N. Alabama so there opening today against Howard and its cold we’ve had snow flurries today. I love softball figured some of you do too and would like to talk about them.

I coach high school softball. Just finished practice. Perfect weather in Dallas. We had the winter crap on Wednesday.

I love college softball.....I need to read up on the Dawgs. Have to admit.....not my favorite coach.

My daughter has a fracture in her hand and is out three more weeks. Hard on me because I love watching her play.

Hard on the team because she avg reaching base 2.7 times per game for her first 2 years of high school softball.

Jaiden Fields a red shirt freshman is playing for the dawgs. She’s listed as a utility player, not sure where coach Lou is going to use her. And yes her brother is that Fields.

Tough day for softball. Those $400 composite bats aren't supposed to be used under 60 degrees. Realistically shouldn't be used under 50 degrees or they could crack.

I always put the gamer away on cold days and made her use practice bat. Saw many of those new high dollar bats bust.

Ga beat Howard 11-1 and Kent 10-1 and they started late but there playing Kent now, amazing considering the snow. Must have got the yellow balls out.

Yeah I don’t see how young ladies do it. Spring travel ball in NGa means playing with frost, snow and long cold weekends.

Sunday Ga beat UNCW 10-2 and Howard 8-0 .

Softball Dawgs play a double header today the second game is against #3 UCLA on ESPN U at 4 o’clock eastern time

Georgia beat Kansas 11-0 then came from behind to beat #23 Northwestern 8-3.

Dawgs are now 8-0 and currently ranked 15th. I think they will move up once conference play begins.
