Kirby Smart wasted no time in stressing the importance of linebacker recruiting in the 2021 cycle. While recapping Georgia's 2020 signing class in February, Smart made it a point to highlight the lack of linebacker depth in the 2020 class.     In Kirby we trust but, darn, can we not recruit with numbers that are more consistent each year? One recruit at a position one year then five the next? Are we really going to get even three great backers to ink in this class? It stands to reason that if we recruit more equally across each position we won't have "rebuilding" issues at individual positions... like we did at receiver last season! I am willing to bet Bama, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Clemson do this hill and valley recruiting with far less frequency.

    Easier said than done, Dawg365. The competition is fierce. However, openings in your LB slots bring interest from young ready-to -play recruits who may see more of an opportunity with UGA and not other elite programs. You have to play to be seen by the NFL as well.
