So, Mason came to GA after a sterling high school career, but had a sub-par career with the Dawgs.
Now spends most of his time finding fault with the Dawgs!
Hutson Mason is the focal point of this interview? And his opinion holds sway now? Why? He stunk most of the time on the field. He was part of the Richt downslide. Now he's an expert? Gimme a break. Brandon Adams is almost unwatchable. He takes 30 minutes to get through the fluff and spit out the point. This is part of his schtick. No thanks. Maybe UGA can also find a decent play-by-play man too. Scott Howard screams like a schoolgirl half the time. Hard to listen to and certainly no Larry Munson. Other than that, how's everyone else's day?
Shock jock. The quarterback was clearly the problem when Hutson was under center. Go Dawgs!
Hutson Mason, really? This is who we are taking advice from? No thanks, we might as well follow Danny Kannell's wisdom. Everyone is getting bent out of shape these days. Let's see how the offense looks through the first three games before judging.
Coach Smart has made some very good decisions lately......Luke, Monken and Cochran. He is opening up the offense with a more RPO-style coach, and QBs. The playbook will likely not look the same this year and especially 2021. UGA will run most times, but the option is now more in play with Coach Monken and will eliminate some of the defensive penetration, allowing valuable time to pass or run. WR Pickens can break for the big gains... a real plus. Lots to consider with this season about to formalize. GO DAWGS!!!
The offense under Kirby Smart was good enough to get into the NC game in 2018, a game we should have won if not for the DEFENSE. Offensive production dropped this past season because its top producers all left for the NFL. That's not Kirby's fault. And for all of those people who say he should have recruited better, that's easier said than done. You just don't walk out the door and replace Mecole Hardman's speed or Riley Ridley's ability to get open or Elijah Holyfield's toughness in running the ball. Again, win and Kirby's a genius. Dont' win, and little-known, less talented former QB's suddenly become "experts." Go Dawgs!
