Georgia freshman WR Ladd McConkey 'a natural pass catcher'
ATHENS -- If anyone can understand the transition that’s ahead for incoming Georgia freshman receiver Ladd McConkey, it’s Terrence Edwards. Edwards — still the only Georgia receiver in history with a 1,000-yard season — was a quarterback in high school just like McConkey. “He has a ways to go, as far as the receiver

I look forward to seeing what Ladd can do for us, I am hopeful that he can see the field this year. If it takes him a year to get ready, then that'll be good too.
Similar frame to Phil McConkey who played for the Giants in the 80's. We need a dependable hands receiver in the slot that can pick up first downs and bust some big plays with speed and angles. Go Dawgs!
I think Clemson has or had a guy comparable to Ladd who walked on their team and became a very good player for them. Clutch.
He's a work in progress, probably a year before he's on the field. Keep working hard.
Hunter Renfrow 5'10" 155 when he got to Clemson, took a red-shirt, went to 175 Lbs.
McConkey should work into a decent receiver for UGA....over time. He really needs to get with the physical part of the game more, as he is a tad small but has those sticky hands and fleet feet....two musts to play well in the SEC. Can he take a hit at speed? I think UGA can build this toughness into him by next year. I wish him well.
This young man was a surprise to me when he was offered by UGA but I trust our coaches to know what they are doing so I'm looking for great things from this young Ladd.
