ATHENS — Spring football has taken on a whole new meaning at the collegiate level. The focus of the fall season remains the focus in the SEC, ACC, Big 12, American Athletic, Conference USA and Sun Belt conferences. Another option is to play an 8-10 game Spring season and a 10 game Fall season This is all total malarkey and whining. How in the heck do NFL players play 21 games (including exhibitions) followed by playoffs. Total 24-25 weeks with only 1 or 2 weeks off. Also, the college seniors in the Spring season (and “early“ NFL draftees) won’t be playing in the Fall. Good grief.....way too many excuses. Also, why not have an 8 team playoff instead of 6 teams? Both will take 3 weeks to complete and the top 2 teams get rewarded by playing the #7 & #8 teams. The top teams don’t need a week off (we don’t do that now so why do it with 6 or 8 teams). Go Dawgs!!!

It’s just a hunch, but I’m fairly confident the players would not balk at shorter Spring and Fall 2021 schedules in the event the upcoming Fall season is cancelled or postponed. I doubt seriously they would say “no” to a Spring season. I’m curious what others think. Go Dawgs!!!

I mean if there is no Fall football sure it would be nice. but what is going to change between now and January? other thank a presidential election or a vaccine (if any) not much. If anything the cases may go up in the winter. Not to mention the Northern teams will have some crappy weather to practice and play in.

If you can have a season then, you can surely have one now.

Spring season is **** and not gd for the players. If you cant start the season by mid October just cancel the season and look to next fall. Stop putting money and selfish wants of entertainment over lives. If we had shut it down the right way and not open bk up way too early we'd be otw bk from the virus outbreak
