    Somewhat of an Erk Russell.

Everything is pointing to Cochran being someone who can motivate like very few can.

Just think of what Erk Russell did with his UGA defenses. Much of his success was because of his ability to motivate his players. Now think of what he could've done with the talent level that is now at Georgia.

I think we're about to see an extra motivated Special teams for the Dawgs! Couple that desire and belief with great talent and it's bound to improve. I'm sure there will be some learning on the job for Cochran but I think it's going to be worth it.

Appreciate all the blah, blah, blah about a conditioning coach on a college FB team, but do you really think he has a "secret sauce" that ALA, UM, AUB, CLEM, OSU, and the rest don't have? Here's a bit of cold water wake up: Can't find the article - still searching - but an interview w/a HOF defender, talking about the "Packer Sweep." He was never blocked the same way on the same play, for the entirety of the gams. Scott's a great fellow, and we are lucky to have him but, in the end, it comes down to dealing w/the dude in front of you. Also called mano-a-mano. Folks, it is NOT about finding a 9'10" guard. It's about finding FOOTBALL PLAYERS!

Friends, you cannot build a collegiate football program on wishful thinking. It's a game and, after all the blah, blah, blah, it comes down to playing the game. So, fine w/all the "but if' and the excuses; there is nothing that matters - other than WINNING a game against Alabama. This is not complicated. "Games" are decided on the field. You wanna win? Win on the field. Otherwise ****.
