Based on Todd Monken's history, he does a great job of drawing up plays for his running backs to gain several yards and I think that will take some of the pressure off of Mathis (if he is named the starter).
As for the future quarterbacks, I think it will be a mistake not to pursue Gunner Stockton. I think the young man is a warrior. He's very poise under pressure and he appear to have the durability to handle the grind of an SEC schedule but he certainly has the moxie.
