Wow, they are going to do the right thing? Unbelievable

So if they start 10/17 their 10th game would be on 12/19 with no bye weeks or conference championship.

Seems like they need to start 10/3 in order to make it work.

That'd give them 1 Bye Week and a week for a conference championship.

    OR

The P5 could decide to do away with the conference championships for 2020, expand the CFP to 8 and turn the out of rotation NY6 sites into round of 8 host sites.

I doubt players/ teams are gonna wanna play/ travel to meaningless bowl games with no fans.

All elite players will surely opt out.

CFP or bust in 2020 as far as postseason is concerned.

I don't see any non CFP bowls actually happening, at least not in this current climate.

Wow. Now lets see if it actually happens.

They're not gonna play 10 games. I heard it might be 6.

For all those that said the CFP would never be expanded...what better time than this for them to try it haha. I hadn't considered this idea myself, but I could see if benefitting us potentially by not having to play an intense game right before the payoffs (assuming we would be in).

Then I hope they enjoy their inter conference exhibition season.

If they’re intending to play this fall, then they’re intending to enter the CFP. Fields isn’t coming back to play if there’s no shot at them competing for a championship. If that’s the case I feel like they should play 10 conf games just like everyone else.

If this cause the playoffs to be moved back till February, how will that effect players leaving for the NFL? Would the NFL push the draft back?

  • Mia_Dade06Mia_Dade06 ✭✭✭✭✭ Graduate

No. NFL isn’t dictated by college. They’ll do what they have always done and that’s whatever they want.
