Georgia football: Back in black, and with red pants for road games
ATHENS — It’s no secret Georgia football is back under Kirby Smart, riding a wave of three straight SEC East Division titles with the head coach’s first four years at the helm. But the Bulldogs also appear to be back in black for home games this season. Oh, and with bright red pants to go with white jersey tops on
Comments
love the new black jersey with the dog collar around the neck. But I LOVE the red pants even more. Now if Nike could ever get the silver pants color right. we would be golden.
I love the black jerseys. Best looking alternate uniform in CFB. I'm not so crazy about the wide white stripe on the red pants.
But overall, I really like the new uniform concepts.
That road gear looks really good. The black jerseys, meh. Maybe if they were solid black without the collar.
Really don't care, just don't mess with the helmet!
The black pants were what we wore for the 1998 Outback Bowl against Wisconsin.
So is it a done deal, they are wearing the Alt uniforms at least once each this season? If so, that's great! Kirby needs to stop messing with everybody and just make the black jersey's an annual thing, last home game or whatever. Take back the myths surrounding them once and forever.
I am a pretty conservative guy, but I think the "tooth collar" is pretty conservative compared to some of the really unorthodox stuff our there. I like it because the players will get a little charge out of it and it and doesn't change our entire look.
