$25,000 fine for what Mullen did v. $25,000 fine for what Ole Miss coach retweeted? Really? That’s a joke. Bottom line, the SEC takes care of its premier programs and doesn’t take care of its second tier. If this were basketball and Mullen coached Kentucky, same result. Ole Miss coached gets hosed regardless. Personally, I’m glad Mullen gets to coach though. If Georgia wins, I want him on the sideline. If Georgia loses, he will claim credit anyway. Let’s play.

I'll never see the point of a $25,000 fine for someone who makes millions per year. I can't think of a good reason why someone would do it, but even if it were to help land a single top recruit I'm sure the university would make sure he got an extra bonus in his paycheck somewhere.

How about suspending him from coaching between 1 and 3 games?

    What a joke.

I haven’t analyzed the video, but I watched it two or three times and it appears that far more than two Gators were throwing punches. Yet Mizzou has twice the number of suspended players as UF?

It reminds me of the Jerry Tarkanian quote, “The NCAA was so mad at Kentucky that they gave Cleveland State two more years of probation”.

(I realize this is an SEC punishment, not NCAA)

A mere slap on the wrist.

That’s all fla got? Are you kidding me? The sec office didn’t see the same video I saw. And his fine should have 4 times that much because his actions started the whole thing. Actually, I think he should have been suspended, too. If Georgia had done that, every player that was on the field would have been suspended. What a joke! I just lost a lot of faith and confidence in the people running the sec. Good grief!!

Mullen gets off lightly all the time. He is a whiner, complainer....Sankey spanked him....ouch, now go home. $25k to him is chump change, actually. It is what it is ...see ya on Saturday, Mullen!!!

Proof that Mullen is the SEC's version of Jim harbaugh. Mullet and his teams are overrated on a yearly basis but considered a great coach. Aut acts like a 5 year old when things don't go his way. I'd hide the fact he was my dad if he were my dad. Mullet the 🤡

You can bet with all confidence if that had been Kirby and the Dawgs, the SEC sanctions would have been much more harsh. Kirby would have been fined heavily and suspended along with several players. The officiating on the field and here in Birmingham is a joke.

When is Sankey going to deal with the problem that contributed to this brawl-the incompetent/possibly corrupt (in the case of a certain school and its home stadium) refereeing? Every week is something else, just like last year. Sad to say, the ACC refs showed competence and even-handedness Sat when Clemson was losing in its own stadium., at least during the time I was watching.

what a joke. The most powerful CFB league is the worst in officiating, and the most inconsistent in discipline.

It is appalling that the punishment for fighting in a game is to be banished from the first half of the next game. The minimum should be an entire game, and they should be arrested, jailed and fined in the jurisdiction where the fight took place and get home on there own nickle if the fight was away from home. Anything less will not discourage this kind of thuggish behavior.
