"Still, Smart believes, his football team will rally." I get it. Smart has to say that. He will not have what he feels is his best QB...Bennett...behind center...so who is Smart rallying with? You don't rally without a competent QB. Mizzou is rested and ready for loss number 3 for UGA. I am not saying one of the three remaining QBs cannot get it done...but they would have before, would they not? Mathis is the only one with any time on field? Come on. Face it...we can only build for 2021 now. This season is over...use Mizzou as another practice session. Nothing else really matters. UGA has to build up from ground zero next year. In many books 2020 is a disaster. Injuries alone should have put Mizzou over UGA......Name the QB? They have had practice sessions for months. Very frustrating.

All that matters is this season ends with a competent offense and a QB that can run it. If you want to see the difference a competent QB makes for a good D look at the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. Last year, with Ben hurt, 8-8 with the best d in the league. This year with that same D and a good QB they are undefeated. It's not apples to apples I know but the comparison is not really that far off.
