Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Vandy's week getting even worse
Radio play by play guy Joe Fisher apparently was intoxicated during the call in show and has resigned. While I guess we could all make some jokes, it isn't funny for this man and his family and I hope he gets well.

Geez. When it rains it pours. Anybody that shows up to work intoxicated needs help and I hope he gets help somewhere. They may need to wipe their football program clean and just start over.
just bring in the girls soccer team

but seriously
It's just sad that a program in the SEC has sunk to this level. I wonder if Sankey will ever step in and do something to help fix that program.
Get rid of Vandy from the SEC East.
Clemson needs that spot.
I'm sure ACC wouldn't allow it, but get TF rid of Vandy.
I'm not ready to trade Vandy's baseball team for Clemson's
I will trade Clemson's Girls soccer team for Vandy's though

I recall when they removed football (and all sports?) from an athletic department and moved it/them into the recreation dept. or something similar to that. Amazing that they haven't descended to this level even earlier - Franklin did a heck of a job I guess.
Yep. If Stanford and Duke can field competitive football teams, there is no reason Vandy can't do it also. Maybe they could get Franklin back.
The SEC does not need another powerhouse. That would be bad for football.
It wouldn't be bad for me...
What’s next...someone gets caught blowing the General?
I'm trying to figure out how Franklin did as well as he did at Vandy. He has bombed at Penn State.
Yep, that dude could have been legendary if stayed at Vandy as was able to maintain at least 6-8 wins per season. I have a feeling he will be looking for a new job soon.
James Franklin just signed a new contract at the beginning of this year worth 38 million dollars...the only way he will be looking for a new job anytime soon is if he wants to go to a higher profile school.
Holy crap....I was not aware of that. Man, what has he done at PSU to rate that kind of money? Crazy...
A Big 10 title plus a couple NY6 bowls and he was a candidate for the jobs at FSU and USC.
