Georgia football game against Vanderbilt cancelled
Georgia football will not be playing Vanderbilt this weekend according to a report from Cole Cubelic of the SEC Network. Neither Georgia, Vanderbilt or the SEC has officially made any statement on the game at this point in time. This was set to be GEorgia's final home game of the season. Georgia does not have a

Call Georgia Tech? LOL
LOLOL..call Tech, yes. Good one.
Seriously, the seniors need this game.
WTH!! Give Tech a call,
The why...Vanderbilt is a dumpster fire!
Bummer!!!
UGA should post this as a win and not a cancelled game... Vandy should use walk on's to play...is that not why they are there as well to get an opportunity to play.
Our Athletic Dept. should demand a forfeit from Vandy and a win for UGA nothing else is beyond BS at this point!!!
Karma stinks. Enough said.
As bad as the morale is at Vandy, Covid might have been a convenient excuse. Maybe we should ask for a recount.
At least there will be no SEC player of the week award for standing on sideline, waiting/hoping to attempt a field goal and showing most team spirit. Good news, outside Christmas lights get up sooner!!
From stories I have seen, I believe even on this site, have mentioned HER berating the team about not cheering? If that is so, added with CDM (Coach Derek Mason) being fired, players have opted out is my thought. And the Vandy AD was going to bring her on the trip to UGA, bad move. They got her the "oooh-aah" moment, enough of it. The DAWGS really needed this game, as do the fans to really see if they would flex their muscles. Now with rain in the forecast this weekend in TN, this is going to make for a crappy weekend.
GO DAWGS!!!!
I wonder what this means for the game against Missouri? There was talk about playing that one on the 19th, but that becomes more difficult if the Vanderbilt game moves to that date. Sure Vanderbilt is a home game, and the UGA leadership will not want to lose the revenue from having fans in the stands. But from a competitive standpoint, it would be a lot more fun to watch the matchup against the Tigers. This is a bummer all the way around.
This has nothing to do with covid. That's just an excuse. This game will not be played, period. The players have quit on the team, due to the firing of Mason, and with Fuller getting so much press time on her berating the team for not cheering on the sidelines. And the Vandy AD was going to continue the "political correctness" move by bringing her to UGA, just a bad look and move. Unless they cut ties with her and figure out what to do with the coaching staff, these players will not come back.
Nobody stated any numbers on "positive" tests, just protocols. Need a certain number of players at each position, that's it.
rhclaghorn- looks like Mizz in next week, and Vandy is the 19th.
GO DAWGS
I am just going to say it...... this sucks, for everyone!
Maybe it makes things easier on Vandy, but IMO, I believe their players want to play the games.
What this does for me, is put even more "Light" on Ohio State not meeting the minimum regular season game count.
I did play in college and I would be really frustrated with all of this, especially if I was playing my last season!
BUT, I am glad to have a season and regrettably we knew it could turn into something like this, still kind of amazed by how "Clean" UGA has kept the program. Somebody is doing something right or the others are doing something wrong, who knows - smh
What? Let's trade Vandy to another conference.
