Georgia opens as double-digit road favorite at Missouri
Georgia football has opened as a double-digit road favorite to beat Missouri on Saturday in Columbia, the Bulldogs' sixth game away from home this season

UGA will take home the win but it will be hard fought! I am at 7pts. It just depends if UGA defense can stop a high scoring Mizzou offense. They are going to throw everything they have at our defensive backs, which teams feel is UGA's weakest link. JT will have to answer in kind...big time. He has the tools....!!! UGA RBs won't win this game. If we find Mizzou emulating a stifling Miss. State defense on the running game it will be a long day. But I do not believe Mizzou has the defense of a Miss. State. I am being as real as I can portray this thing. Arkansas penetrated UM's defense all day long but, in turn, could not hold off their run-pass attack in the end. All I can say is GO DAWGS!!!
At this point, who really cares?
This will not be an easy game for our Dawgs. Missouri is big on both sides of the ball. They will try to establish their run game early. We must force them to throw the ball. Conversely it will be difficult for us to run the ball up the middle. We must run outside and use deception with misdirection plays. Our O-line will be key this game!
Arkansas went up and down the field on them at will much of the game with their back up QB. MIssouri had the ball last and went right down the field and scored , no problem. THey really gashed the Razorbacks on huge run plays. Tremendous holes opened up. I don't think Arkansas new what they were doing wrong and how to stop it, it just kept happening over and over. Hope our guys have a clue.
This could absolutely be a shoot-out. Bazelak can spin it, and teams are correct in reading our pass D as suspect. We've been spoiled with the leadership in the back seven the past five years. Maurice Smith, Aaron Davis, JR Reed and Richard LeCounte have kept the back four or five (or six) organized and in the right spots. That leader is currently missing. The group is talented, but only Stokes has shown consistent play-making, and even he, and every corner, gets beat on occasion. Monty Rice is a tremendous leader for the LBs, but his foot injuries limit his speed to the sideline and in coverage. Nakobe Dean is next up, but probably next year as the alpha wolf in the pack. However, for the first time in a couple years, I'm excited to see this offense grow up game by game. Daniels is the most talented starting QB the Dawgs have had since Eason, and his upside is much higher. (Notice that I said "talented" and "starting.") Yes, we're building toward 2021, but with Daniels benefiting from returning and playing a full season for pro scouts next year, and throwing to Pickens, Burton, Smith, Washington and hopefully, Blaylock next year, plus the RBs and OL that are stockpiled with talent, and a second year (we hope) under Monken as OC, that offense has the potential to be awesome! I agree with Kirby, these next three games (c'mon Vandy!) need to light up the scoreboard like a slot machine! Go Dawgs!
13 points sounds about right given the make up of both teams. I've been reading here about how this is going to be a hard and difficult game for Georgia. That may be true. Both Florida and Alabama just destroyed Missouri. Both of these teams opened up big leads then cruised with their backup. What I expect from a team that is in the top 8 is to dominate Missouri...Open up at least a 3 TD lead by halftime and then control the game the rest of the way. I think that if Georgia struggles with Missouri then we have to ask serious questions.
