Kirby Smart praises Darnell Washington: 'You can never have enough good tight ends in the SEC'
Arguably the biggest news story around the SEC this week centered around Arik Gilbert. The LSU tight end opted out of the season, with rumors and reports surfacing that he might potentially enter the transfer portal. Gilbert is from Marietta, Ga., and was one of the top prospects in the country in the 2020 recruiting

APB:......Calling Arik Gilbert.
we hope you’re watching. The problem we had before was having a qb who could get you the ball. Now.... we got ourselves a qb. Not to sound like Rod Roddy from the price is right but.....come on down!
Can’t help but believe that little play package for Darnell was a shout-out to A Gilbert. I hope we get him. Mckitty is gone and our other tight ends are good blockers but can’t get open on routes. .
It was good seeing Darnell get some targets and make the most of it. I really like how the offense is coming together.
Monken looks like a great hire as OC. His second half adjustments were on the money, and that's when Ga's offense totally took the game over.
Hey Kirby, Darnell has been dressing out all year.
