imageGame Ball: Georgia OLB Azeez Ojulari sacks Cincinnati, sparks comeback win

Georgia’s Azeez Ojulari came off the edge to take down Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder one final time to record a safety on the last play of the game and put an exclamation mark on a historic Bulldogs’ victory. Georgia (8-2) rallied for a 24-21 win to beat the Bearcats (9-1) in a hotly contested Chick-fil-A

Ojulari is a perfect example why it is important for most of these guys to play in bowl games. If you are projected as a solid 1-5 pick in the draft, sure go ahead and sit. Beyond that, you need every opportunity to show case your talent especially for early entrants. Every spot you move up the board can mean millions. Ojulari certainly helped his cause today if he decides to leave. It would be nice to see him stay for another year helping Georgia win a championship & working his way into a too 5-10 pick in 2022.

This was a gut check game for this team & they all stepped up in the end. To win this way can be a springboard heading into spring & next season. Go Dawgs!!

Lights out play by our remade defense including obviously Ojulari...they saved our rear because our offensive effort was sputtering at best.

We lose if he doesn't play.

Curious what would have happened had we had their coach and they had ours? Just say'n.

Yep, I knew as soon as I saw that he was playing that he'd be a critical factor. Only two words to say: "thank you". We appreciate it and you certainly could've/would've been the difference in us winning vs losing. I wish the other players who "opted out" realize the difference they could've made.

So, now are we supposed to root for Newman in the Senior Bowl? Guess it's now "safe" to play that game when Covid is 100x worse than it was at the start of the season that he "opted out" for?

Azeez Ojulari just proved why you SHOULD play in the bowl games even though you might declare for the NFL Draft. He just helped himself out with the 3 sacks in the game.

Azeez moved himself up the draft boards today. This is why players play. Every snap is a chance to get better. He deserves a big payday. Thanks you Mr. O. DGD.

Probably just made himself a few extra millions. Good on him. On the other hand Trask may have cost himself a few.

Ojulari showed real team loyalty and I am incredibly proud of him and the others that stayed. Listening to Zeier's post game comments it was very clear how he felt about the players that quit on their team.

It IS a real game and it DOES count.
