"Side note, how many remember that he is 1st cousins with D'andre Smith?"

    Yep, right here.

I can't blame a senior for wanting to declare. I realize because of covid they can return for another year and many, like Webb would probably benefit from it in order to showcase themselves as a lead Dawg. However, there is always the chance ( a good chance) that some underclassmen will take your lead Dawg title away from you. Mark is kind of on that line where I'm not sure if the risk of another year would be worth the reward as far as the NFL is concerned. Good luck Mark Webb and thanks for being a Dawg!

I'm not sure it's someone else that is wrong (at least not outside of the family) on these decisions. I think a lot of these guys see their teammates move on to get big pay days and become over eager to jump the gun. I think they should focus more on the who didn't than the who dids. Pay attention to who was a very good college football player and declared early but it has not panned out for them. If you are not elite on your team and in your conference, you better invest all you can in the college system, both academically and all your eligibility to get better because the NFL is probably not going to hold a lucrative future for you.

He was a WR in high school. We switched him to D. Don’t think he ever totally figured it out and got comfortable. I’ve always thought about what if we’d kept him at wideout. Coulda helped us the last few years (not last year). when we were very lean at that position. I have a soft spot for guys that change positions after high school. It’s really hard to make a switch. Best of luck to him. DGD. Does he have a grade? He wasn’t even the best at his position at UGA.
