IF Matt sticks to his progressions (he's VERY tuned in to what the D is doing - very bright FB mind) and doesn't try to overcome "coverage" with his rocket arm, he can end up as one of the top QBs in the history of the game.

Personally, I think Detroit put him in that situation far more than necessary, so he felt like he had to make something happen on his own. In a rational, integrated scheme offense, this kid (yeah, still a kid to us) can light it up.

Let him do what he does and stop asking him to overcome the shortcomings in your offense. He'll get 'er done!

Great for Stafford and the Rams! But holy crap that is a lot of capital for a 33 year old......but Belichick said it best, you sell-out to win Super Bowls then at the end you have nothing but Cam Newton!

I will always regard Stafford as a DGD, but in my opinion, he has underwhelmed as a pro. And I don't think it's just because he's played for the Lions. I've been saying for at least the past three years that the Lions needed to trade him for a bunch of draft picks and start fresh. They finally took my advice. I believe Goff can equal whatever Stafford did in Detroit, if not exceed it. And I have serious doubts whether Stafford will take the Rams to the Super Bowl (keep in mind that Goff already did), so I definitely think Detroit got the best end of this deal. Providing they don't screw up the draft picks.

Big arm but overrated talent and not even close to elite! Lions scored big!

I think Stafford has been the victim of poor coaching at Detroit, and I hope that he will prove how good he really is in LA and that his talent while with the Lions was wasted.
