Alabama fans say the point is moot because their guy moved so it would have been nullified anyway. But it still made a 10 yard difference. They got to kick it 5 yards further up the field instead of 5 more yards back. That is 10 yards difference from where they kicked it. 10 yards can mean the difference in a return or not. Can't just say it is moot when they were ultimately given 5 yards to their good instead of minimum 5 yards back and punting again or us having the ball right there.
That play is only one of several blown calls that flags weren’t thrown on the tide. Face mask on Swift not called, their player pushed the head of our player into the ground getting up, Roquan being tackled on a sure sack, just to name a few.
Everyone knows... the refs make sure the cookie crumbles in Bama's favor every chance they get. After all, gotta keep Herbie and the clowns controlling the college sports narratives at ESPN happy, at all costs. Even if it means it becomes glaringly obvious to the average fan that football at the highest level is 100% rigged to generate the highest value out of TV contracts.... the integrity of the game be darned, ESPN and the Media Machine must make MONEY.
I'd take it a step further and argue that the yardage is beside the point. The bottom line is Georgia did everything right and was severely punished. There was no reason to call anyone offsides on that play, and Bama would have had no business complaining that they DIDN'T get bailed out for violating the rules with an uncalled false start.
I don't know about going the conspiracy route. I understand the temptation, considering how bafflingly and inexcusably one-sided the blown calls were. But I think there's a good case to be made that the sport would be better off in every way, including marketing, WITHOUT one team dominating the rest of the country for more than a decade.
Dominick sanders should make - it was an interception shirts.
I get angry every time I see this video. Dawgs got robbed on that play. I hate to see games impacted like this. I wouldn't even want to see those hated Goobers be screwed over by bad officiating. Yeah, I know! That's crazy, ain't it? We desperately need these officiating crews to be help more accountable. Not sure how we could go about doing that, but something needs to be done. I watch a lot of college football, and I see bad officiating all the time. Some are obvious bad calls, missed calls, or no calls, and these are the ones that make you question the integrity of a particular ref. And when a play is reviewed, and they still do not get the call right, that makes them look even more suspicious. All of those guys playing football are out their playing their tails off, risking serious injury, even death, they deserve their games being called responsibly. Yes, honest mistakes can and do happen, but appropriate measures need to be taken in getting the call right. What ever it takes, get the call right.
i get that argument too but it’s not convincing enough to change my mind lol!
Where can you purchase these shirts?
