I don't agree with David Hale. However, as we enter Smart's 6th season, 2021 is a VERY important season for the Dawgs. We will have the BEST group of players that we have ever had for the kind of football that needs to be played to win a Natty on the field in 2021. But this is not a "Championship or BUST" season. However, if we can't at least make the playoffs in 2021 then I will be EXTREMELY disappointed and so will many others. I DO think that with the talent we have lined up going forward thus far, the next 2-3 seasons of Kirby's tenure will ultimately determine whether or not he is the guy to get our National Championship.

With our talent and coaching, Clemson is beatable. BUT, even with a loss to Clemson we can still win the SEC Championship and make the playoffs. The rest of the 2021 schedule sets up nicely. The SEC East will probably be as unstable and weak as its been in a long time. Half the SEC East teams will have new head coaches and staff/player rebuilds. The SEC West, as usual, will be the tougher division. Execute and finish the drill and we cruise to the SEC Championship game unless we unexpected and foolishly stub our toe on the way in. And remember, the head coach that they just fired at Auburn, Gus Malzahn, beat Saban 3 times in 8 years. Ole Miss beat Saban twice (and played them a very close game in 2020). Kirby has lost to Bama 3 times, but the Dawgs have led in every single one of those games. Bama has been undefeated ONLY twice since 2009 (2009 & 2020). Bama is certainly not unbeatable. Saban just knows how to win the games he needs to win. It ain't rocket science. Kirby needs to do the same.

We can and SHOULD win a National Championship here soon. There's absolutely no reason why we cannot.

    GET 'ER DONE!! GO DAWGS!!
