Could probably leave off the weights. Never seen a buff QB or pitcher. Don't think it adds anything to throwing. Asked why he never had any arm troubles, Greg Maddux said, "You can't pull fat."
I had the pleasure of watching brock at Prince (I live in bogart) and he is definitely mobile and he is not afraid to throw the ball. Really excited to see him play at UGA.
Watching the competition for QB-2 will be interesting. Georgia has options. Quality options. The QB position should be a team strength for years to come.
So, Herschel Walker played in the smallest classification in the State of GA during his high school career. He was a man amongst boys in high school, and later at UGA. It's not the size of the man in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the man. Go Dawgs!
Herschel was 6'1" 230 and ran a 4.3 forty as a RB. That generally translates well anywhere. But yeh, Hershel was not only unstoppable physically but also mentally. I believe he played in the NC game with a dislocated shoulder., and he 's the reason we won. Combine tremendous talent and an uncanny desire to win and you have a champion.
Brock has great talent. So do our other QB's . HIs leadership and will to win may put him over the others, we'll see. But when you get to this level of competition and all things being equal to some degree(arm strength, able to scramble, leadership, reading defenses) it just boils down to who gets the opportunity and who makes the most of it in game situations. Everyone looks like a world beater in practices where you don't hit the QB. Ask Kirby about that pertaining to D'Wan.
