Matt Landers lands at Toledo after transferring from Georgia
Matt Landers has a new home, as the Toledo Rockets announced him as a part of their signing class on Wednesday. Landers entered the transfer portal in January.
As a junior, Landers played in eight games for Georgia this past season as he caught two passes

Best of luck to Matt Landers. I hope he can get it all figured out in Toledo. He often looked to me like he wasn't always giving 100% effort and just wasn't real happy at UGA. He has a lot of talent, so maybe not being buried in the depth chart will allow him to shine. What is the status of Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint? I haven't heard anything from him since the devastating injury he had. He was really starting to heat it up, so I expect he may be the receiver who has a great year that is currently being overlooked. If D-Rob comes back, our offense is going to be scary good with all the talent we have at WR and the backfield.
All I can say is......THANK GOODNESS ITS ABOUT TIME
Good for Matt, he could not catch a cold in Athens!
Matt had talent to get open but seemed reluctant to get physical. No everybody is a superstar. Best of luck to him in the future. The bright spot is that he opened up a space for someone new. His playing time in the future would have been limited due to the great depth in the receiver's room at the moment. This has been a weakness throughout Kirby's tenure here and now it is a strength.
God bless!
I wish Matt Landers good fortune at Toledo. I seem to remember Matt dropping his share of passes as a Bulldawg and don't think he'd be getting much attention this year with the receiving corps we have for this coming season. It'll be a little easier for him this nest season at Toledo where he'll be a better match with the talent level.
hope Matt Landers works on his catching ability.
Oklahoma's Brendan Radley-Hiles entered the portal yesterday. He was a five star out of IMG. He played nickel and safety for the Sooners. Not very tall (5-foot-ten), yet was still highly rated.
Some podcasters joked that he must have extra ligaments in his arms that kept him from really stretching out to get those balls (sort of like a T-Rex) 😂
In all seriousness, I hope he does well at Toledo. He seems to have the physical attributes but has had trouble putting it all together to be a great receiver.
Does Toledo utilize a forward passing game?
This really is what the transfer portal should be for. A guy with a ton of potential who can't get the work he needs due to a much more stacked room at his position than when he came. I hope he blossoms there. Thanks for being a Dawg, Matt.
