ESPN's Bill Connelly released his updated S&P+ rankings for the 2021 season on Tuesday. The rankings, which factor in returning production, recruiting rankings and recent success, have Georgia pegged as one of the top teams in the country to start the season. But it's not as high as some might think, with the

As a devoted fan, I do believe that he has us too low. As a realist considering the Dawgs past performance under high expectations, history certainly favors his prediction.

I think the Dawgs play better when they are the UNDERDOGS, let them be the underdogs and carry a chip on their shoulders for the whole year. When they are praised a little they get over confident and don't work as hard to be prepared for when the wins are harder to come by. South Carolina in 2019 is a good example of that.

We will know after the first game of the 2021 season! Otherwise, it is all speculation!

We will be the underdawgs going into the Clemson game. UGA has to believe in their heart they can win and then do it. If they do that they will be favored the rest of the season up to the SEC championship game if they can run the table. If we lose we can still run the table and make the playoffs but no room for error. I honestly believe we have to take that next step forward and play like champions in every game. I really hope JT Daniels comes into this season feeling and acting like he is the leader of this team or at least the offense. Tom Brady makes everyone around him better and lets hope JT can do the same.

My faith in ESPN's ability to predict is questionable at best. Georgia has the talent to beat every team on the schedule. They need the desire, attitude and ethic to want to be THE champions in 2021. Let's see if we can break into the next level.

Historically, we are almost always one of the top team or two to be ranked with the number of losses we have (so, we'd be the highest rated 1 loss team, etc), so if we make the Clemson game competitive at least then we should absolutely be in the running for the playoffs especially if we beat Florida.

We will see how things progress.

You know Oregon and even to an extent, Oklahoma, seem to never perform as good as expected. Oregon should be better in 2021, and Oklahoma should be as good as they have been in a very long time.

It really doesn't matter what ESPN thinks or how the Dawgs look pre-season. We tend to be overhyped and end up underperforming. That trend needs to STOP right now though, and we need to start performing up to our potential which should include trips to the playoffs and a National Title contention in 2021. And if Ole Miss, Auburn, and Texas A&M can beat Alabama then it's high time we did the same.

We won't know what this team is truly capable of until maybe after the Florida game but likely only after the SECCG. Game one against Clemson is not a good barometer of what they will look like by even game seven. We can beat Clemson but it may be a hot mess with the rookies.

    Go Dawgs!
