Dylan Fairchild has a unique story. We've never covered a Georgia Bulldog target or signee efforting to defend his state wrestling championship before. Much less an unbeaten buzzsaw who is 65-0 with 65 pins over his last two years.

He is a monster! I can't wait to see him work on the football field.

I went to high school in Forsyth Co. (back when there was just one HS for the entire county), so I'm particularly interested in seeing this young man's career develop at UGA. What I like about him, in addition to the strength, athleticism, and intensity, is that he seems like a natural born leader. Go Dawgs!

Can't wait to see him lead the O-Line repeatedly down the field on Bamas D.

Strange, it makes more sense to me that athletes like this play on the D-Line. One thing is certain, Fairchild is a winner.

    Thanks for the article!

Anyone on this site who wrestled in HS or college understands how incredibly difficult this sport is. The levels of conditioning and discipline are outrageous. I’ve witnessed lots of guys who played football go out for wrestling and give it up during the first week of practice. Intense is an understatement and I hope Dylan’s wrestling background translates into a great football career at UGa. Go Dawgs!!!

Not to diminish anything Fairchild has done, he is a beast ,but the number 1 ranked heavyweight in the Nation is From West Laurens High School. There are also 2 other state champ offensive lineman at Georgia , Webb (Alabama), and Blaske (Georgia) . Fairchild is the best of the 3 but still nice skillset for the Dawgs to have in all 3.
