If you look at Oklahoma's National Championship history then they are a more elite team than people give them credit for and have more National Championships under their belt than the Dawgs. And I would wager, the Big 12 is as tough (or possibly tougher) as the SEC East for sure. The Big 12 is certainly a tougher league than the ACC, and we all know why Clemson usually waltzes into the playoffs (but they usually deserve to be there and prove it most times).

OU has been in the playoffs (4) times, and despite the fact that they lost all (4) semi-final games, the Dawgs had to take them to double overtime to beat them in the 2017-18 playoffs.

Lincoln Riley is an excellent coach and on par with Kirby. OU will be a force to be reckoned with this year (maybe as good a team as they have had in many years), and I expect them to very much be in the playoff hunt.

I wonder if OU will worry about establishing the run?
