Georgia fans are still coming to grips with wide receiver George Pickens' ACL injury, and many are left to wonder how UGA will fill his shoes this season. Of course, there's also hope for a potential comeback for Pickens. Yet even if that eventually occurs, other players will need to step up while he's sidelined.

I would take this offense over any other in 2021, with or without Pickens!

    Go Dawgs!

I think Pickens has already played his last down for the Dawgs.

Really a useless analysis. Star rankings represent potential only. Even walk ons develop into dominant players. Demetris Robertson is an excellent example. A five star that never reached the projections. The Alabama, Clemson, and LSU offenses had at least one dominant receiver. One that had the ability to break out against the schemes against him and free up other backs and receivers as open targets. The Dawgs absolutely need 2-3 receivers (backs, wide, or TE) that will consistently burn one on one coverages. So, does UGA need a 5 star receiver to win a natty? Of course not. Do they need one to two dominant receivers regardless of their high school ranking? Absolutely.

Not having pickens is not great. However he is one player. And if the other 10 don’t play well the team is in bigger trouble. I wish him a speedy recovery. But we won games without him and lost games he played in.
