I surprised and disappointed when Tyrique Stevenson transferred. The others probably made a smart move by leaving the program.

The transfer portal needs to be reserved for graduates & kids that truly have a situation where they need to be closer to home. For 99% of players, the portal gives false hope & delays the inevitable. It's not worth risking the scholly. Focus on the educational opportunity & work harder on & off the field earning the playing time.

Johnson and Stevenson would have been big contributors, unfortunately Mathis had the health situation that put him behind in his progression. I fully believe had he not missed his freshman season because of health issues, he would have been ready to lead the team last year. However, the rest were occupying a needed scholarship.
