It's clear to see, Kirby and co. recruit kids who they feel will be able to produce regardless of their recruiting ranking.

Look at 2021 Receiver Adonai Mitchell ( as the latest ) who was only a 3-Star and the No. 64 rated Receiver. Seems Kirby and his staff recognized Mitchell's talents while the recruiting experts missed the mark.

Now it looks like the recruiting industry's catching up to where Kirby's staff already had some of these 2021 kids rated.

You just can't under value the job of player evaluation and development that UGA is currently producing.

I can't wait to see how this class finishes. It looks like it could be a special class.

They have a formula for ranking these kids. It has its weaknesses. UGA evals them as thoroughly as possible before extending a scholarship. Mitchell indeed is a good example. The portal has become the honey hole of late to gain experienced players at needed positions. Most of these young pups like sophomore 5-star Darnell Washington take one full season to familiarize themselves with UGA and SEC play. The coaches earn their stripes and pay in my estimation just staying up with the recruiting, turnover, injuries and constant coaching of new recruits as well as upper class men.,,with most good players leaving after their junior year for NFL draft. Plus, this has been really difficult with the advent of the Covid virus. My glass is raised to the coaches for the terrific job they do. GO DAWG COACHES!!!
