Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

As far as coach Crean: The Covid restrictions this year have drastically the coaches ability to coach his players. A lot of "coaching" takes place off the court and outside the practice gym. It takes place where relationships can be formed and trust can be built. Kentucky is a prime example of Covid's impact on basketball coaching. Did Calipari forget how to coach ? I don't think so ! Calipari himself talked about how hard it is to build a team in this situation. So I say put the 2020 -2021 season behind us and look toward the future before passing judgement on Coach Crean. In fact, many times this year he called the play that would have resulted in a victory only to have a player make an unforced error or miss a layup and cost the team a victory. Just a few plays like that would have resulted in several more wins. The team, with its fast style of play, is certainly more entertaining to watch.
"As for those who yearn for the 'glory years' of the former coach — a coach who failed to produce an NCAA tournament win or league title in nine years — Mark Fox might soon be available. Cal basketball went 8-19 last season and 3-17 in league play, last in the Pac-12."
