Only four months before minor league football will be coming to a college football stadium near you.
The NCAA should mandate a grace period on when athletes can enter the transfer portal so that it do not challenge a team rosters. They have schedule dates for recruiting periods, on site visits, and signing day, so the same should apply for a kid transferring.
Expect the SEC to vote to allow transfers within the conference to play immediately. There's almost zero chance it will be otherwise from what I have read. This may ultimately change the nature of the game and create more of a gap between the haves and the have not teams.
