Looking for places to eat in Jacksonville. Anybody got any recommendations? The lady and I are doing a day trip to the zoo today.

It's not close to the zoo, but we have really enjoyed the Palm Valley Fish Camp Restaurant in the past. It is a great place for some Mayport fried shrimp and many other items. It is close to the beach in Ponte Vedra.

I'm not a foodie but some day the world is going to figure out what great potential Jacksonville has. It's location on The St Johns River is superb, it has beaches near by and you can't beat the in town strand along the river across from the stadium as a location for restaurants and browsing shops.
The St Johns River?
Head over to Town Center Mall. It's an outdoor mall with every variety of food imaginable. If all else fails you can go to the nearby TopGolf.
Yes, wrong apostle, I'll edit.
That restaurant group has a number of great spots all over Jax. They also own North Beach Fish Camp, Marker 32, Julington Creek Fish Camp, and Valley Smoke. The owner is born and raised in Jax and an all around great guy.
San Marco also has some great restaurants as well like Taverna, Town Hall, Rue St Marc, Bearded Pig, Mattews and bb’s.
The food scene in Jacksonville is full of hidden gems.
Believe it or not, but the Zoo has a great burger itself. But if you have unlimited funds go to Chophouse 13 and get the Aged NY ****
