Georgia's secondary is nowhere close to being a finished product, even after some big additions.

Best thing for a secondary is a good pass rush. Kirby just needs to let the pass rush loose and thus secondary will be fine.

" Just look back at the Florida game last season if you think talent can completely cure the issues in your defensive backfield."

Guys, as Connor points out above, our elite secondary last season got mostly shredded against FL and Bama when it counted the most. You can have all the talent in the world and still come up short. Like I've said before, after Clemson Kirby won't be facing any serious passing threat in our remaining schedule so there's plenty of time to gain reps and develop the talent that wins out when it comes to the SEC Championship game and playoffs.

Fla had 2 receivers drafted in the 1st round last year and their QB went in the 2nd round. Sometimes it be like that. We still could have won with better Qb'ing. We had 5 passes completed at the half for 75 yards, they had around 340 by the half in passing. The interesting thing is that their 2 first round guys only had a hundred yards in combined receiving yardage, but they drew the defense away from the underlings who had a banner day. One of their RB's had 100 yards receiving by himself off of the wheel route. Trask took what we gave him, which is what good QB's do.

This year the odds should be in our favor. Better receivers and better QB. Doesn't mean we will win, but I believe we should.
