ATHENS — Georgia baseball lost two pitchers to the Major League Baseball Draft on Monday but returned another pitching ace Jonathan Cannon announced he’s returning to the Bulldogs.

    Yeah best of everything to Webb and Harris....but...just as important...Cannon is returning as UGA's ace pitcher...he would have been selected by MLB as well. He will boost his draft status even more, no doubt at all. UGA will have a "hot" team this season. "Hittem strong and long"....GO DAWGS!!!

    Good luck guys, but I think Harris should have waited. I don’t know what the 8th round Dodgers slot pays, but their 5th round slot was estimated to pay $318,000. I think I would have advised my son to play another year, get his degree and hopefully significantly improve his draft status. Oh well, it’s his life and I don’t know any extenuating circumstances that may be taking place in his life. Good luck and Go Dawgs!!!
