Interesting that only GA, Auburn and Ole Miss bringing their QB. Just goes to show there are a lot of unproven QB's in the conference especially at FL, AL, TN and several others. That should be a good omen for the Dawgs.
@JimDawg85 Excellent point.
Wasn’t Jamie Newman like 4th in Heisman odds at this time last year?
I like Daniels but July Heisman odds aren’t iron-clad proof of who is better than who.
It’s just proof of what player the betting public is wagering the most money on right now.
@JimDawg85 if you have followed the SEC media week for any number of years you know coaches select all different types of players to attend. This year is a bit different than years past as there are 8 coaches who will appear for the first time. If you look at who Saban selected one is. fifth year senior who chose to return and will provide leadership for the team. Fisher chose a player who has accomplished a lot in his first two years by becoming an all American offensive linemen. Both coaches chose players who understand both the culture and philosophy of their programs and are good representatives of their schools. This is why they chose juniors and seniors. Kirby has chosen what amounts to a sophomore, Daniels, to represent the team. I find this to be an interesting choice. You may choose to believe this had something to do with the quality of quarterbacks at other schools but at best that would be a stretch.
