It's put up or shut up time for the Dawgs and Daniels IMHO...either we show we belong in the playoffs or not. Let's move past all the hype and show results. Expect TX and OK to pay the millions needed to get out of their Big 12 contracts and move to the SEC within the next year or two at most....which means tougher competition and less of a chance to make the playoffs if they stick to 4 teams for the foreseeable future (which is more likely now).
Bama has crept up to #2 in the 2022 recruiting rankings, Dawgs at #7, and Clemson up to #9. Penn State leading the pack currently...
Daniels might face three teams this year that could possible have some form of pass defense - Clemson, UF and Arkansas. Against all the other teams on the schedule he should put up huge numbers. Just how good he really is will start with the SECCG.
This year probably represents the best opportunity Kirby will have in some time to win a NC.
I am going to argue that if they really still count Arik Gilbert as a tight end, we have the best tight end room in the nation. We currently have 3 tight ends (and you can argue 4) with NFL potential.
