With these explosive offenses. The man to man coverage seems to be getting more difficult in a sense. I wonder if it would be wise to develop a scheme showing man to man, but setting up stunt to intercept the ball? Essentially a disguise to deceive the quarterback into throwing into a trap with a defender in the area to disrupt or be moving through that passing route for an interception. It may be easier said and done, but it's that if your scheme is set up to trick the quarterbacks eye's during the play, your chances of turnover naturally improve. I'd love to hear some thoughts from a defensive mind on this. I'm not that educated in the X&Os so I'm interested to see who would like to shed some knowledge on this.
UGA ranked number 1 against the run last year, but gave up very large yardage via the pass especially against Bama and the Gators. They need to keep the run defense very strong, but stress a defense against strong arm QB's. The Clemson QB can sling the ball, and has great WR's to receive the ball, but he can hurt you with his legs also.
